Camp Crossroads is inviting Parkdale Youth for Winter Camp in January 2024! We have the opportunity to stay in supervised cabins with friends up north in Torrance. With a schedule full of snow sports, Parkdale’s youth will be able to experience activities which are nearly impossible in the inner city. Most importantly, group activities will strengthen friendships, improve collaboration, and develop leadership skills.

FAQs
What are this year’s camp dates?
January 5-7, 2024. We will be leaving from Parkdale after school on Friday and returning Sunday afternoon.
Are there supervisors?
There will be at least 1 adult leader supervising each cabin. Camp Crossroads staff will supervise program activities.
What lessons will my child learn at camp?
We seek to give kids the opportunity to be active in the unique experiences that a weekend overnight camp offers. We also seek to teach children life and character values using stories and life lessons from the Bible and great historical leaders.
How is the cost for camp calculated?
This year, we ask that each camper pay $100. Parkdale Youth will subsidize an additional $50 per camper, plus cover cost of all transportation, tuck, and additional costs. We make no profit from Parkdale Youth Camp and all of our leaders are volunteers. If you require further subsidy for camp, please indicate this on your registration form (linked below).
What is the camper Code of Conduct?
It is essential that our camp be a safe and enjoyable experience for all who come. This means each camper must treat others with respect and bullying is not tolerated. Vaping and drugs are not allowed at camp under any circumstances.
What happens if my child consistently misbehaves?
If there is continual bullying or damage to facilities, offending campers will be sent home and parents or guardians will be responsible to pick them up. Please discuss this with your family.
How are leaders screened and trained?
All volunteers are required to pass a police check and undergo child protection training. Volunteers are also given training in cultural sensitivity and leadership.
